The Hainaveld and Ghanzi Farms surround the northwestern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana and serve primarily as cattle farming and game viewing areas.The Ghanzi area is home to over 200 cattle farms and is known as the centre of Botswana’s cattle farming industry. This area is home to a blend of cultures including the Bakgalagadi, who are the original inhabitants, the Herero, the San, the Batawana, and the Afrikaaners. Situated on the Northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the Hainaveld area, known for its game viewing, first-class bird watching and cultural tourism. Visitors can explore local villages, learn about the ancient Kalahari hunter-gatherer’s traditional way of life, relax at a luxury lodge or spend a day on safari spotting abundant wildlife.

Lying in the middle of the largest expanse of sand on earth the Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s most amazing, sensitive and complex environments supporting a spectacle of wilderness and wildlife. Unique as one of the world’s few inland deltas, the placid waters and lush indigenous forests offer a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species. The Okavango Delta offers a number of activities for the visitor; game viewing, birding and fishing are all on offer. One can experience this magical world of islands and waterways from land, air and water. Highlights include the elusive Sitatunga antelope which has found refuge in this pristine wetland ecosystem, while birds such as the African fish eagle, Pel’s fishing owl and many others provide a spectacular display.

After breakfast you will be transferred to your Light Aircraft Flight to Okuti in the Moremi Game Reserve.

Situated in the heart of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, guests can experience game drives with unhindered views in specially-designed safari vehicles. When out on game drives our window seat guarantee ensures no more than four guests per vehicle and individual use of a camera mount. The Moremi Game Reserve is rich in wildlife, and its consistent year-round game viewing makes it ideal for repeat and first-time visitors to Botswana. Guests can also explore the Okavango Delta waterways by motorboat, and the areas open lagoons and winding channels make it a birder’s paradise, complete with herons and storks in the breeding season.

An exclusive private reserve hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka is host to one of the most unique biodiversities in Southern Africa. This ever-changing desert landscape gives refuge to the Kalahari lion, springbok, Oryx and brown hyena. The camp itself was acquired in 2017 and provides the perfect start or finish to any discerning travellers Botswana safari.

Guests are accommodated in seven spacious twin and double-bedded safari tents, each en-suite bathroom has an indoor and outdoor shower, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. Families are accommodated in a two-bedroomed tent, sharing a spacious en-suite bathroom – ideal for families in this child-friendly camp. Dinaka’s tents are well spaced and raised up on wooden decks giving the perfect vantage point over a permanent water hole. Connected by wooden walkways all areas of camp are accessible by wheelchair.

SHINDE | OKAVANGO DELTA

Nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, Shinde is an intimate, classic camp located on the edge of Shinde Lagoon, which simply teems with animal and birdlife. The camps unique main area comprises a multi-tiered dining room and lounge which is set under canvas under the shade of ebony and mangosteen trees.

Shinde was refurbished in 2015. The elegance and historical charm of the iconic Shinde camp has been enhanced by enlarging the eight classic safari guest tents to incorporate a spacious bathroom with a large walk in shower and luxurious fittings. The larger bedroom with new linen and furniture in tasteful colours provides the perfect retreat. Wide sliding doors leading onto the extended front decks afford breath-taking views over the open floodplains or the mysterious waterways of the Delta. Accommodation is generally twin share on comfortable three quarter beds, however double accommodation is available on request.

Every possible comfort has been catered for – from generated electricity and a private viewing deck through to a handy flashlight! Each tent is strategically positioned to offer splendid views, whether across the Okavango Deltas mysterious waterways or open grasslands.

Every possible comfort has been catered for – from generated electricity and a private viewing deck through to a handy flashlight! Each tent, strategically positioned, offers splendid views, whether across the Delta’s mysterious waterways or open grasslands.

Family  Tent

Guests are accommodated in a spacious, safari tent consisting of two bedrooms, shared en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. The tents are well spaced, affording privacy whilst remaining within comfortable distance from the main camp area. Roomy enough to sleep a maximum of 5 people. Shinde takes children from the age of 7 years old.

OKUTI | MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Okuti, refurbished in 2014 draws its influence from the Maunachira River which flows in front of the camp, with its abundant birdlife, fish and sandy river banks, it remains an oasis of serenity and peacefulness. Okuti is built amidst the wilderness of one of Botswana’s prime game viewing regions, Moremi Game Reserve.

Accommodation

Okuti comprises five twin-bedded “Masasas”, each with en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor shower, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. The honeymoon unit features a double bed, indoor and outdoor shower along with an outdoor bath tub . An additional two family “Masasas” consist of two bedrooms which share spacious bathroom facilities – ideal for families in this child-friendly camp. Okuti’s spacious curved ‘Masasas ’ are located on raised decks with river views.

Okuti can accommodate clients wishing to self-drive (in 4WD) into Moremi Game Reserve, offering an adventure and an alternative to flying.
